These little orifice hooks are cute as a button with wire at a thin enough gauge to bend to your specific orifice needs while still maintaining their shape.
Sporting the same patterns used to make the cutouts in my spindles, each Orifice Hook is small enough to be used with just your thumb and forefinger, but not so small it will disappear in your spinning basket. It even has a place to attach a loop of ribbon or a special sample of handspun yarn so it can be hung on your wheel.
I have a confession to make. I have a really hard time tossing out pieces of wood that are too small to make another spindle... especially if it's a really nice exotic wood. After all, I might use them "some day". Before his health started failing him, every time Daddy came to visit, first thing he would do is go out and start to clean my shop, and I would have to stop him from throwing my micro lumber into the chiminea. I needed those pieces for future projects. I didn't know what, but I knew I needed them.
