The Scrolled Turk™, a cross arm drop spindle, commonly referred to as a Turkish style or Turk, with cutouts, is a Jeri Brock original design. Born of my love of fiber arts and woodworking, specifically scroll sawing, the Scrolled Turk™ is not only a great spinning spindle, the designs let you express your individuality while indulging in your art.
The standard Scrolled Turk™ is my go to spindle for spinning singles. I may be biased, but I love these spindles, and I love this size. It's small, but not too small, making it easy to pack in a purse or bag for spinning on the go. It's not too light and not too heavy, with most of the standards being in what I consider the spinning sweet spot, 0.75 - 1.0 oz (some wood and pattern pairings may be lighter or heavier). Whether you're spinning lace weight, fingering weight, or heavier, this spindle will get the job done.
Trash Panda BUSTED shows our rascally little dumpster diver getting busted for his mischievous antics. The Trash Panda patterns were created as a birthday gift for my newly adopted UK Daughter’s birthday celebration. She has a thing for raccoons, and I was happy to oblige.
